The story of 'Memphis Calling'

Photo collage of the studio sessions

In January 2023 Emma travelled to Memphis to visit her distribution company 'Select-O-Hits' and meet with company owner Johnny Phillips who was excited to share that the 'Sam Phillips Recording Studios' owned by Sam’s son Jerry Phillips, had recently acquired the original STAX recording console and she should go there and record a new album!

The album features legends of American soul music, such as Don Bryant and the iconic Memphis studio musicians Charles and Leroy Hodges, Steve Potts and Archie 'Hubbie' Turner and produced by award winner Scott Bomar.
